Grade 3 Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) Prep

The class meets twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 6:55 pm.

The program has a total capacity of 6 seats. The small group size is intentional, allowing us to provide more personalized attention and support to ensure each child can excel academically. We believe in prioritizing the quality of education over the quantity of students.

The Grade 3 Florida FAST Prep Course is designed to provide small-group educational support for students generally achieving at or near grade-level standards but could benefit from additional academic enrichment and support. To ensure the group is meeting the needs of this target student population, we require all applicants to complete diagnostic testing in math and reading. This allows us to verify that your child’s skills are no more than slightly below grade level, not significantly behind. The Grade 3 Florida FAST Prep Course is NOT designed to provide intensive, one-on-one intervention for students with major skill gaps or significantly below grade-level expectations. We want to maintain a small group environment that can effectively support students close to meeting and/or excelling standards.

Yes, parents will receive a copy of their child’s test results. After the tests are completed, the staff will review and interpret the results. They will then schedule a meeting with you to discuss the test findings. The test results will provide valuable insights into your child’s academic skills and performance. The staff will explain what the results mean and how they can be used to support your child’s learning at home. The results will help you understand your child’s strengths and any areas that may need additional support or practice. With this information, you can work closely with your child and their teachers to ensure they get the help they need to succeed. The test results are an important tool for monitoring your child’s progress and developing an effective plan to meet their educational goals.

Suppose your child’s diagnostic results show they are significantly below decoding abilities for this class. In that case, we will happily recommend other academic support programs that better fit their learning needs. We will also partially refund registration costs to any student who doesn’t meet the admission requirements.

No, the program is not designed to help with assigned homework directly. However, the program will cover several critical Grade 3 math and literacy skills students can use to complete their teacher-assigned homework more effectively. The program is intended to provide targeted Grade 3 Florida FAST test support.

For the Grade 3 Florida FAST prep course, we offer sibling discounts and multi-group course discounts within the student's home. We do not allow discounts on the registration costs. If you have multiple family members enrolled, you’ll receive a discount on the monthly fee for each additional sibling. In addition, we provide flexible payment plan options through Klarna and Afterpay. This allows parents to pay for the program in smaller, manageable installments rather than a lump sum upfront. We also offer a discount if you pay for multiple months in advance. The more months you pay for at once, the greater the discount you’ll receive on the total cost.

The Grade 3 Florida FAST prep course has a strict no-refund policy on registration costs and monthly subscription fees, with one exception. The only exception is that we will provide a partial refund of the registration costs for students who are not admitted into the course due to diagnostic testing that shows they are significantly below grade level in math and reading. We strongly encourage parents to review their child’s most recent school standardized test scores before registering for the Grade 3 Florida FAST Prep. Students with scores of 1 in PM3 are considered significantly below grade level and may not qualify for enrollment. Suppose our diagnostic testing during the application process shows your child is significantly behind grade level in math and reading. In that case, we will refund a portion of your registration fee. However, no refunds are available for registration or monthly subscription costs for students who are accepted into the course. This policy ensures the Grade 3 Florida FAST prep course can provide the highest quality, personalized academic math and reading support to all enrolled students. Our curriculum and teaching methods for this course are tailored for students performing near, at, or above grade level. Students significantly behind grade level may require additional remedial support outside this course’s scope. We want to be upfront about these expectations to avoid disappointment or financial burden on families.
