Study Success Squad for College & Career Readiness

Targeted at grades 6+

Duration: Student specific

Similar to a sports coach, an academic coach works on strategies to help kids succeed. We help kids develop a more organized approach to learning and schoolwork. We also focus on strategies to help kids with motivation and increase their productivity.

Our Study Success Squad is an academic performance coaching program helpful to students who have certain skills but lack the motivation, organization, or strategies they need to apply those skills. Coaching could also benefit students who need help with staying focused, such as kids with ADHD. Athletes with positive sports experiences often respond well to a coaching model.

Middle schoolers who need to learn good study habits could benefit from learning organizational skills. High school students who need help with prioritizing, staying on task, or even prepping for the ACT or SAT could also benefit from an academic performance coach.

1-On-1 Subject-Based Tutoring

Targeted at grades K+

Duration: Student specific

1-on-1 subject-based tutoring focus on building concrete skills and helping students with what they immediately need to keep up with schoolwork.

Tutoring is a good option for students struggling to stay at grade level. It could also benefit students who need help reaching academic goals in one or more specific areas like reading, writing, science, or math.

Targeted at grades K+

Duration: Student specific

1-on-1 virtual tutoring focus on building concrete skills and helping students with what they immediately need to keep up with schoolwork. Sessions are held in an online environment.

SAT/ACT Test Prep Course

SAT/ACT Prep

Targeted at ages 12+

Duration: Progression depends on session frequency and the focus and learning pace of the student.

Our highly structured and comprehensive courses include small group or private classes taught by subject-matter experts. Student resources for score success include an online learning portal, interactive practice quizzes, personalized worksheets, and proctored mock exams.

Our customized prep course ensures each student can focus on the most strategic areas of the test.

Reading Rescue Intervention Program

Targeted at ages 5+

Duration: Plan for at least 1 year or more. Progression depends on session frequency and the focus and learning pace of the student.

Our highly structured multi-sensory reading intervention is designed for any student who finds reading and spelling difficult. This includes weak readers who struggle to decode or those with dyslexic difficulties. Confidence and self-esteem are boosted as a result of repetitive short lessons that measure progress with each session.

Learning to Learn

Targeted at grades 11+

Duration: 15 weeks

Group sessions are available for learning pods, sports teams, and test prep.

This course teaches students to build positive relationships, gain a sense of belonging, and improve their ability to perform successfully in the classroom — especially those choosing to attend college.

Improving Comprehension With Vocabulary Study

Improving Comprehension with Vocabulary Study

Targeted for Grades 7+

Duration: 9 weeks/course. 6 courses required for program completion.

Group sessions available for learning pods, sports teams, and test prep.

A good understanding of vocabulary doesn’t guarantee academic reading success, but it certainly makes the success more attainable.

This course provides a systematic approach to learning vocabulary with over 1,000 valuable words from basic roots.

At the conclusion of the course, students should be able to:

Combine prefixes, suffixes and roots to make words
Figure out the spelling of a word by the parts that make it up
Think logically about words and their meanings
Read and understand words more concisely

Youthbiz Accelerator Entrepreneurship Club

Youthbiz Accelerator

Targeted at ages 12+

Duration: Based on student interest.

Group sessions are available for learning pods, sports teams, and youth groups.

Youthbiz Accelerator is designed to help students interested in entrepreneurship learn entrepreneurial concepts and complete a business plan. This is an in-depth dive into the principles of entrepreneurship similar to a college course.

Academic Champions Alliance is a program offering exclusive tutoring and academic coaching rates to youth nonprofit organizations looking to assist their students. The nonprofit organization must be the paying client to qualify for the special rates.

Tutors and academic coaches collaborate closely with students, parents, and nonprofit leaders, nurturing their academic growth and fostering a passion for learning. The program aims to bridge the educational gap, nurture talent, instill academic confidence, and foster a love for learning.

Together with our nonprofit allies, the program champions a brighter future, creating a powerful alliance dedicated to unlocking the full potential of the next generation.

ServSafe Food Manager Certification

Adult learning theory suggests that people are more likely to learn when the material is presented to them in as many different ways as possible. In the 8-hour ServSafe Manager Certification Course, information is presented using video, PowerPoint® presentations, and interactive activities. This 8-hour course will cover the 7 domains assessed on the ServSafe Manager Certification Exam. The 2-hour, 90 questions online exam is administered at the conclusion of the course with immediate pass/fail results. The course includes a mailed hardcopy of our 62-page QUICK “NO CHASER” study guide. Students are required to bring their own computers for the exam portion of the course.
