Important Information for Paying Clients

Please note that the course cost is separate from registration costs.

Course Cost: Covers participation in the Word Quest Champions summer course.
Registration Cost: Includes a mandatory reading diagnostic test for every student.

This diagnostic testing is used to identify a student’s current skill level so we can place them appropriately in the right summer course level.

It’s also important to understand that assigned grade level and skill level are not the same thing. A student’s skill level is based on performance on the diagnostic test, not only their current grade placement, so students receive instruction at the level where they’ll grow most.

Overview

Word Quest Champions is an engaging, skill-building summer literacy course designed for students with decoding skills aligned with grades 4–6 who demonstrate medium to high decoding skills (note: skill level is not the same as grade level). This course helps students strengthen advanced word analysis, expand vocabulary, and deepen language understanding through clear instruction and structured practice.

Throughout the course, students build essential literacy skills needed for success in upper elementary reading and writing. Students review and practice core concepts, including:

Advanced decoding strategies for multisyllabic and complex words
Complex spelling rules and patterns (including word origins and structural patterns)
Academic and content-area vocabulary development
Figurative language (similes, metaphors, idioms, personification, and more)
Grammar skills that support stronger writing and sentence structure
Context clue strategies to determine word meaning
Word analysis and morphology (prefixes, suffixes, and root words)

Placement is based on diagnostic testing to ensure instruction matches student skill level.

What is the course cost?

Each 3-week course (Sessions 1 and 2) is $135. The 2-week Session 3 courses are $100. The registration fee is a separate cost. Sibling discounts are available for course costs ONLY.

What is the registration cost?

Registration Costs: Math only – $60 Reading only – $60 Math & Reading – $100 Critical Thinking Play only -$25 Registration fees for math and reading courses include a diagnostic test for each subject. After registration we will email you to schedule your student’s test. Once they complete the test, you will receive a list of approved summer courses tailored to their needs.

What is the class size?

This summer course will have a maximum of 6 students to ensure personalized attention and maximum engagement in the learning process.

We have compiled a comprehensive schedule of all our courses, including the date and time for each summer session. Each course meets at a specific date and time to ensure that our students receive the best possible learning experience. To ensure that every student is placed in a course that aligns with their skills, all students must take a diagnostic test in either reading or math before enrolling in our enrichment courses. Once the diagnostic tests are completed, parents and guardians will receive a list of approved courses tailored to their student’s results. Our classes are specifically designed to meet children where they are in terms of skill level. This approach allows us to support those needing to catch up on specific skills and challenge those ready to accelerate. This personalized approach will enhance your child’s learning experience and boost their confidence and engagement in the subject matter. Can I get a discount for enrolling my child in more than one course?

Yes, we offer discounts when students enroll in more than one summer course. BEFORE purchasing the courses, please email our office at info@harmoniclearningedu.com to receive a discount code.

Do you offer sibling discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts for siblings living in the same household. To receive the sibling discount code, please email our office at info@harmoniclearningedu.com before purchasing the courses.

Do you offer financial assistance?

If you’re interested in financial assistance for our summer courses, we offer the option of using Klarna or Afterpay. What is the refund policy?

Please note that all courses and registration fees are nonrefundable. We will only issue a refund if the course is canceled due to business operations. We highly recommend that our clients carefully choose a course and schedule that aligns with their summer vacations, parental work schedules, extracurricular activities, and transportation availability.
