Description
This summer accelerator course will teach students ENTERING GRADES 1-3 to identify and evaluate evidence to guide decision-making. The activities diverge from traditional reading comprehension exercises, emphasizing the development of critical thinking through “low read” excerpts that require careful reading and analysis to identify supporting evidence and solutions. Students will understand the importance of reading for understanding and evidence-based decision-making. Students will develop vital life skills while enjoying uncovering the right answers. Students will also learn to use highly effective critical thinking and other strategic test-taking skills to improve test scores.
