This diagnostic testing is used to identify a student’s current skill level so we can place them appropriately in the right summer course level.
It’s also important to understand that assigned grade level and skill level are not the same thing. A student’s skill level is based on performance on the diagnostic test, not only their current grade placement, so students receive instruction at the level where they’ll grow most.

This course is a hands-on, engaging summer math course designed for students in skill levels aligned with grades 4–6 (note: skill level is not the same as grade level). This course helps students build confidence and mastery with advanced fraction concepts through clear instruction, visual models, and structured practice that promotes deep understanding.
Throughout the course, students strengthen fraction and number skills needed for success in upper-level math. Students review and practice core concepts, including:
