This diagnostic testing is used to identify a student’s current skill level so we can place them appropriately in the right summer course level.
It’s also important to understand that assigned grade level and skill level are not the same thing. A student’s skill level is based on performance on the diagnostic test, not only their current grade placement, so students receive instruction at the level where they’ll grow most.

Mondays 4:00 pm – 4:55 pm
Wednesdays 4:00 pm – 4:55 pm
This course helps students build the academic foundation needed to transition from second grade to third grade with confidence. Instruction goes beyond isolated skill practice and focuses on strengthening math readiness and the learning habits students need for greater independence in grade 3.
Students strengthen essential skills in:
Math Readiness
Students engage in structured, hands-on, and increasingly independent practice aligned with third-grade expectations. Lessons emphasize the use of strategy, critical thinking, and clear explanations, the skills required for success in grade 3 and beyond.
Taught by a current second-grade teacher, this course provides developmentally appropriate instruction that feels familiar while challenging students to grow. Students leave prepared, confident, and ready to succeed from the first day of third grade.
